Rustic Wooden Frame Window

This is the second of two windows my wife grabbed from a family renovating their home. We loved this window for the original weathered/rustic wood and rich color it had, but it needed a bit of rehabbing. I had to reattach one of the corners together because it was busted apart, and had some water damage. It came together perfectly! Amazing what some screws and woodglue can accomplish to bring something back to life. We really enjoyed the 8 panes, but thought it would be a better idea to use a single large piece of glass instead of getting 8 separate panes of 3/8" tempered to replace with. The single large pane adds structure and stability to the window frame since it touches each edge and corner of the frame. I ran a blade along the backside of each pane border to create a flat space for the full glass pane to fit in. It was perfect. The underside and sides of the window were painted white, so we found an awesome vintage handle with white chip...
